On The Thinking Mother

Published by Office Staff under Blog

David’s address during the opening of the 2009 National Book Festival is quoted in a post titled “Thoughts on Educated Kids and Literate Adults” on The Thinking Mother.

Then I hear statistics about American adults that are pathetic. Like statistics quoted by David Baldacci at the 2009 National Book Festival’s opening remarks on September 26th (televised by CSPAN’s BookTV), paraphrased…

On The Red Room

Published by Office Staff under Blog

David’s novel The Whole Truth is reviewed in a lengthy post titled “‘The Whole Truth’ – A Wake-Up Call” on The Red Room.

Baldacci’s The Whole Truth is a great book, but more than that, at least for me, it was an eye-opener to the realities of our brave new world. …Fiction? ………maybe.

In The Washington Post

Published by Office Staff under Print, Web

David is among other literary luminaries mentioned in the “Names & Faces” column about the opening reception of the National Book Festival in The Washington Post.

At the National Book Festival’s opening reception for authors, donors and a Dewey Decimal System’s worth of important-but-unfamous bibliophiles, the page-turners became the head-turners. In the Library of Congress’s Coolidge Auditorium on Friday night, Virginia-based novelist David Baldacci recounted the time he was upstaged by a marine biologist’s live fish — at his daughter’s kindergarten career day.

David’s work is used to describe the style of novelist Robert Dugani in an article titled “Best-Selling Author Visits East Union High” in the Lathrop-Mateca Sun Post.

Dugoni’s books have drawn comparisons to John Grisham and David Baldacci, but he said between classes that talking to high school students is much more frightening than sitting at a typewriter and trying to start writing a book.

On Kevin Kaiser

Published by Office Staff under Blog

David’s story of becoming a writer, which he presented in the essay “An Overnight Success”, is the subject of a post titled “If David Baldacci Can Do It -” on Kevin Kaiser.

So, I finished reading David’s story, closed my laptop and found a bit of hope in my congested little world. If David Baldacci can do it, I think I can, too. I am doing it just like you are (or will be starting tonight, right?). I’ll continue being ambitious without making myself a slave for ambition’s sake. I’ll do it in obscurity for its own sake…the sake of doing it and having fun with it.

On Ace and Hoser Blook

Published by Office Staff under Blog

David’s novel Hour Game is reviewed in a post on Ace and Hoser Blook.

This book was an incredibly easy read, but I didn’t find it as gripping as some of Baldacci’s other books. Absolute Power by Baldacci was a book I couldn’t put down. This one was easier to walk away from because you could get an inkling for what was going on and who was responsible.
