In Publishers Weekly

David’s upcoming novel, First Family (April 21), receives a starred review in Publishers Weekly‘s “Fiction Book Reviews: Week of 3/30/09.”

Plenty of intense action drives bestseller Baldacci‘s stellar fourth novel to feature former Secret Service agents Michelle Maxwell and Sean King (after Simple Genius)…. Baldacci’s careful plotting and confidant depictions of national security procedures make this a thinking man’s thriller.

On The Back Cover

Published by Office Staff under Blog

David’s Virginia Festival of the Book event with Adriana Trigiani is discussed in a post titled “Wine, Cheese, and Authors” on The Back Cover on Roanoke.com.

One event I attended was a delicious evening of intimate bookish conversation. Wine & Words with David Baldacci and Adriana Trigiani on Thursday afternoon, March 19th, was a perfect appetizer for the Festival for me.

David’s participation with fellow author Adriana Trigiani in an event during the Virginia Festival of the Book is the subject of a review of the event titled “Some People Came for the Wine” on 12thStreetOnline’s Blog.

The Adriana Trigianni and David Baldacci event, Wine and Words, at the Virginia Festival of the Book last week, was held at a Charlottesville wine bar called Enoteca. It’s a knock off of the wonderful Bar Veloce in New York (2nd Ave, between 11th and 12th); they even have the slim menus, the high chairs, and the tea candles in small glasses.

In Newsweek

Published by Office Staff under Print,Web

David is the subject of a feature article titled “Thriller Instinct” in the March 30, 2009, edition of Newsweek.

But Baldacci has a point: there is something thrilling about the hunger for what lies on the next page, and it seems more absurd to suggest that enjoying a thriller harms a person than it does to suggest that it helps him. In these stressful times, Baldacci offers a break—and people who care about books should care about him.

Yet another great novel by David Baldacci. Story line very well written in a suspense thriller investigative serial killer based novel.

On Bookologists

Published by Office Staff under Blog

David’s upcoming novel, First Family, is reviewed in a post on Bookologists.

Overall, First Family may be my favorite David Baldacci book so far! There were multiple plots, extensive back stories, and gritty, complex characters (even they were the antagonists).

Note: This review is based on an advance reader copy, which may differ from the final published novel.
