The fictional plot and setting of David’s novel Divine Justice is compared to a similar real-life situation involving a Mexican prison running hit-man squads in a post titled “Who’d Have Thought?” on Murderous Musings.

Well, as seems to be the case more and more these days, David could have stretched this plot-line even further and still run short of reality.

The book which I just finished is called Divine Justice. It includes members of the “Camel Club,” which consists of an assorted cast of characters, including a former CIA assassin.

I read it all in one setting and when I closed the book my soul felt full, complete, it felt like something I can’t describe with words.

Overall the book was well-received. It was difficult to figure out and certainly kept one’s attention, and was written so it was not easy to put down. Many in the group had never read a Baldacci book and were anxious to read more.

Your humble narrator, a novelist, was featured at a literary festival with Scott Turow, the lawyer who wrote Presumed Innocent. It got me thinking. Books from lawyers like him, John Grisham and David Baldacci fill the bestseller lists. But where are the accountants?
