Your humble narrator, a novelist, was featured at a literary festival with Scott Turow, the lawyer who wrote Presumed Innocent. It got me thinking. Books from lawyers like him, John Grisham and David Baldacci fill the bestseller lists. But where are the accountants?

People often ask me how I got into writing. I love to read, I always answer. When I opened a book, I opened a world of possibilities. Then, when I began writing, I created my own possibilities. But when you can’t comprehend what’s inside a book, most possibilities vanish.

For those who are interested in how their favorite author crafts his tales, the EE will be able to include, for example, audio Questions and Answers, or video of the author’s office, or scans of story outlines. For the inquisitive reader, deleted passages from the manuscript could be included to provide more insider information on characters, lost subplots, or even, as in the case of David Baldacci’s Deliver Us From Evil EE, alternate endings.
